FEB 09 PROGRAMS

February 8:
11 a.m. Program: Susan Cogan will present "The Wisdom and Philosophy
of Terry Pratchett" Part 1: Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg

10 a.m.: Coffee Hour discussion topic will be "Wisdom I learned from
my relatives"
Also at 10 a.m.: Children's religious education class will hear and
discuss a story about Tango, her parents, and how they became a family.


February 15:
11 a.m. Program: Ed Kearns will present "Mardi Gras Unmasked"

10 a.m.: Coffee Hour discussion topic will be "What is art? What is not art?"
Also at 10 a.m.: Children's religious education will share stories
about different families they know. The children will be invited to
make up a pretend family that has a different configuration than their own.


February 22:
11 a.m. Program: "/Here" performance poetry by Larry Bierman

10 a.m.: Coffee Hour discussion topic will be "What clutter do you
need to eliminate from your life?"
Also at 10 a.m.: The children's religious education class will do
activities which will explore what makes a family and what families
have in common.


March 1:
11 a.m. Program: Singer/Songwriter Roy Zimmerman will perform his
delightful, insightful music. A collection will be taken up afterward
to pay the piper.

10 a.m.: Coffee Hour discussion topic will be "Tell your favorite
funny stories from the 2008 headlines"
Also at 10 a.m.: The children's religious education class through
discussion and activities will explore how being part of a faith
family is like being part of your own family.
